Juxtaposition in verbally or in text

Juxtaposition in verbally or in text

1. Metaphor show comparison in imaginative ways, but without using "as" and " like".
Eg: Love is a rose, its full with torn but pretty sweet.

2. Similes show comparison in imaginative ways, with the usage of "as" or "like".
Eg: Life is like a roller coaster. There's climax and nadir.

Class Activity!!!!
Number1
At first, Lecture ask us to think about 3 pairs of number from (00 until 99) in 2 digit with telling nothing to us.

1. My chosen number: 09, 69 and 99.

With the 2 digit number and match with it together, so:
-09: Fly & Rain
-69: Duck & Rain
-99: Leave & Rain

2. Making sentence for each:
-09: The birds fly in the rain.
-69: Duck is drinking the rain water.
-99: The leaf is floating on the water after the rain.

3. Sketches for each sentences:
The birds fly in the rain
Duck is drinking the rain water
The leaf is floating on the water after the rain

4. Create a new word by combining the two words together and Sketches:

FLYRAIN
FLYRAIN

DUCKRAIN

LEAFRAIN

5. Create and illustrate the image:

FLYRAIN

LEAFRAIN = LEAVERAIN
DUCKRAIN = DARKRAIN

For me, this kind of class activity recall our creative thinking. Creative thinking are very important to us especially for FCM students because it is enable our mind to think outside the box.

Number2
Secondly, write a short statement or poem that describe the concept of  ‘LOVE’,  ‘LIFE’,  and ‘MAN or WOMAN’.

LOVE

Colorful of the FLAME, as my MEMORY in the past
More of the FLAME, as my HOPE for the future
As the FLAME is going
The day is coming

WOMAN - AS A MOTHER
HARDNESS of the mortal; DURABLE of the pastel
WOMAN
who are never been paid much for the house
RAIN ; SUNNY, DAY ; NIGHT
you are always as a ANGEL in the heart of mine

HAPPINESS

IT IS COUNT ON
4 5 6
PAST ; NOW ; FUTURE
7 8 9
EVERY SINGLE SMILE
10

Juxtaposition

Juxtaposition can be defined as placing in nearness or contiguity two variable, side by side and their contrast or similarity are shown through comparison. Many creative processes rely on juxtaposition. By juxtaposing two objects or words next to each other, human brain will automatically associate or transfer meaning. Usually ‘turning’ something familiar to something less familiar or vice-versa.

When used properly, juxtaposition can be informative or even humorous
Juxtaposition: Similarity of the image is they are human, woman; Differences between them is the style they have
How mergers goes wrong??
Coming up, a class activity is done again! Merging 2 animal that can't be survive? How?
After choosing from the choice that provided by lecture, most of the type that after combining  can't be survive was Flying type + Water type

+
=
So, how you think? Can he/she survive? Just think about it

MinD MappinG

Mind Mapping, which being introduced by Toni Buzan is diagram to show expressions, ideas, from thinking. It is a powerful graphic technique which provides a universal key to unlocking the potential of the brain. The Mind Map can be applied to every aspect of life where improved learning and clearer thinking will enhance human performance.

The Mind Map has four essential characteristics
-The subject of attention is crystallised in a central image.
-The main themes of the subject radiate from the central image on branches.
-Branches hold a key image/word printed on the associated line - details radiate out.
-The branches form a connected nodal structure.

Benefit of mind map:
-Think smarter by brainstorm your own brain to produce information.
-Made a better decision, due to have a clear picture of surrounding factors.
-Able to come out an efficient way of problem solving.
-Able to prepare a planning with sufficient information

From the Lecture class, I think Mind Mapping must make some Relax or Fun mood inside, so that reader may attracted with your Mind Mapping and make a memory in the brain!

Logical Mind Map
Logical Mindmap is directly connected to stereotypes. Is also means that the idea is fixed. It is like this, every subject matter are connected to main subject.

Logical Mind Map

Associate Mind Map
Another type of Mind map is called Associate Mind Map. The subject is not necessary connected to each other. It means that we can think outside the box that somethings like out of control on thinking. Something Crazy also can be written inside the Associate Mind Map. But it is useful to put up ideas and generate fast thinking.

Associate Mind Map
~Activity~
No doubt, the lecture had ask for a mind map from us! But not for ourself!
We are required to make a Mind Map for our neighbor friends! It is FUN! Wow!
In the progress, we are advised not to use Logical Mind Map and try to think outside the box!
This is the Mind Map that my friend - Moshen, an international student,  make my personal mind for me! Thank You
~Task~
We had an in-class practical on associate mind map which is based on Mortal & Pestle as topic.

Mortal & Pestle
What can we do for Mortal and Pastel instead of grind and mix substances?
For me, Mortal & Pastel can be used for:
-Punishment of Prisoners
-Treatment for FAT
-Weapon for Army

1. Punishment of Prisoners
This is the first that I think - Punishment of Prisoners.
The Mortar works as to cover the face of the prisoner when the punishment is going on.
So, the Pastel works as the tools to hit the ass of the prisoner as punishment.
Seem like so pain for the prisoner!

2. Treatment for FAT
Next - Treatment for FAT
Nowadays, peoples who are obesity is more serious. So, me - Ban have an idea for them to slim down!
When treatment is going on, Pastel is rotating on the body to force the oil/fat out from the body while the Mortal works as to fill up the fat from the body.

3. Weapon for Army
Last idea - Weapon for Army
The army throw out the Pastel which is contained chemical and it will explore after hit the ground! BOMB!
While the Mortal is to keep the army safe on the head.

Novelty, Creativity, Innovation, Invention

Another Thursday has ended. Second class of Creative Studies has ended too.

This week, Mr. Radzi talked about "Novelty, Creativity, Innovation and Invention" in class lesson. About "Novelty, Creativity, Innovation and Invention", doesn't it read like something same meaning as well?

No, they aren't! But in my opinion, they are like brother-sister, connected each other.

Why I say so? There must some reason that I said this in here! Let's Look at it.

Novelty
Novelty which is derived from Latin word novus for "new", is the quality of being new. Although it may be said to have an objective dimension such as abstract artit essentially exists in the subjective perceptions of individuals.

From my opinion, Novelty something new or something unusual. It create somethings weird but useful for everyone.

Just like this Gun, Is this a gun or???? This a Vintage Novelty Pistol Gun Hairdryer, I like this gun hairdryer, look funny! A working, fantastic condition, rare vintage novelty hair dryer, complete with white plastic holster. No electrocution worries, the silver gun material is plastic as well. How to function? Pull the hammer which placed on top is to the desired heat setting, squeeze the trigger and let'er rip.

Creativity
As same as last week posted about CREATIVITY:

Creativity is defined as the tendency to generate or recognize ideas, alternatives, or possibilities that may be useful. Same as new idea or concept is created, no matter by old concept or newly invented.

Reason for people are motivated to be creative:
-need for novel, varied, and complex stimulation
-need to communicate ideas and values
-need to solve problems

At first, Don’t try this at home!
Awesome Picture! Creativity cannot be defined, and this picture is a live example of what it stands for. Sometimes it’s not a bad idea to do the smart thing and heed the advice!

Innovation
Innovation is a complex process of re-invent product, idea and concept to the society for commercialize. The process that involve novelty, validity, increment and realization. The society will being benefit by innovation, not from the invention alone.

In my point of view, Innovation means changing the existing ideas or knowledge for the purpose of improvement. There are many conditions, knowledge and attitudes that have direct impact on building innovation competencies.

''The INNOVATION point is the pivotal moment when talented and motivated people seek the opportunity to act on their ideas and dreams.''
~ W. Arthur Porter

Invention
Lastly, about invention, I think most of us is more knowing about INVENTION!

An invention is a new composition, device, or process. An invention may be derived from a pre-existing model or idea, or it could be independently conceived in which case it may be a radical breakthrough.

An iPhone. I think it is a very Common for everyone in this world.

'Time' names iPhone 'invention of the year'
In all seriousness, the article accompanying the award lays out several reasons why the iPhone is indeed very important to the computer industry. The relentless buzz around the iPhone, as well as the sales figures, are signs that the general public is starting to really think about what they want in a mobile computer. The iPhone has made the wireless industry sit up and realize that the bar has been raised. And it's also setting the stage for a future in which your mobile computer gradually occupies a larger part of your world.

Bill Gates – Microsoft

William Henry “Bill” Gates III, is an American business magnate, philanthropist, the world’s third richest person (as of February 8, 2008), and chairman of Microsoft, the software company he founded with Paul Allen.

Bill Gates is one of the best-known entrepreneurs of the personal computer revolution. In the later stages of his career, Gates has pursued a number of philanthropic endeavors, donating large amounts of money to various charitable organizations and scientific research programs through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, established in 2000.

Gates also holds the record of being the Richest Person in the world for 15 consecutive years.

Larry Page and Sergey Brin – Google Inc.

Two PhDs from Stanford University started work in the garage of a friend’s. And they were defiantly not building steam engines!

They were, however, creating the internet’s most powerful search engine. Sergey Brin and Larry Page are arguably the world’s most successful Internet entrepreneurs and developers in history. This enabled them to earn billions, while assisting everyone from high school students to particle physicists have an easy time searching for information over the internet.

Google was first launched on Stanford’s website (google.stanford.edu) and then finally on Google.com in 1997. It is estimated that GOOGLE is worth about a staggering $25 billion dollars.
